Moonlight Mile, directed by Brad Silberling. 

This movie made me fall in love with both Jake Gyllenhaal and Ellen Pompeo. I was not a fan of her before, but seeing her in this role just totally changed my perception of her. Ellen is flawless when it comes to explore vulnerability. She is so so talented. And Jake.. Oh lord. Don’t even get me started.Susan Sarandon and Dustin Hoffman, with their brilliant performances, add an energy and a humanity that are quite simply contagious.

Oh, and for those of you who didn’t know, Brad Silberling (the director) is Amy Brenneman’s husband. Also, the soundtrack is amazing! In short, if you haven’t seen it, just do.
